About Us
Archers Direct is part of the Cosmos Holidays group, the UK's largest independent travel group and part of the award-winning international Globus group of companies which remains family owned with headquarters in Switzerland.
Our founder, Antonio Mantegazza, started his business back in 1928 with a fleet of 12 coaches which operated local excursions for European tourists around Lake Lugano. By 1950 he had expanded throughout Europe. His son and grandchildren now run what is the world's largest European coach tour operation with escorted touring programmes and holidays throughout Europe, North America and worldwide in new exciting destinations such as China (take a look at our dedicated China section!), South America and Australia.
