From the floating market of Bangkok to an elephant camp in Chiang Mai, holidays in Thailand offer an unforgettable experience. Our Thailand holidays will take you to a fabulous land of dense jungle, coconut trees, famous temples and mountains. On our holidays to Thailand, you can discover the island of Koh Samui, with its idyllic white-sand beaches and sparkling green seas; our Thailand tours could also take you to the remote rainforest and sandy coastline of Phuket; and Koh Phi Phi, rising from the sea like a fortress.
On our Thailand escorted tours you will explore exciting Bangkok, with its amazing street-food stalls and imposing Grand Palace. On the River Kwai you’ll encounter long-tail boats and a very famous bridge. Another wonderful holiday!
We have travelled with Archers on many tours and never been disappointed – the same was true for this adventure.
From the first moment to the last it was a wonderful experience. Our guide Lek was not only extremely knowledgeable and very experienced at making the most of every occasion to enhance the holiday experience of all his guests, but also had a wonderful sense of humour.
The brochure details are very accurate but can’t possibly portray the intensity of the vibrant scenes. From the bustle of Bangkok and the floating market to the tranquillity of the elephant ride in the jungle, Thailand is a palate of colours and emotions with no more vibrant colours than those of the exquisite orchid farm – delicate blooms in a profusion of colours and forms.
The chance to visit the River Kwai and enjoy a scenic train journey over the bridge was another memorable highlight as were the numerous Buddhas, each one more resplendent and imposing than the last.
Our journey north provided a real contrast. Walking through the hill villages and meeting the villagers in their wonderful costumes together with the optional tour of crossing the Mekong to Laos where we were able to see, and sample, bottles of snake whisky in the market and have our passports stamped for another country was quite something!
In all aspects this holiday was full of new experiences-everyday, from culinary delights, haggling in the many markets and night markets, temples, Buddhas, to excellent accommodation (including one stop in the jungle reached by river) and the caverns inhabited by bats - so many moments of wonderment.
A truly memorable holiday.
We have the Archers brochure out again – where next?

We went on the tour of Thailand in August, everyone was expecting rain as it was the rainy season but we were really luckily and only had a couple of days where it rained part of the day.
Our guide 'May' a Thai who could not do enough for everyone, you only had to say 'we would like ..... ' and it was done, she was full of knowledge and told us a lot about living in Thailand, she really made the holiday special.
It was such a varied itinerary from visits to the River Kwai and learning all about how the bridge was built to lots and lots of Temples, all of which had their own identity, then there was the elephants ! which to us was the highlight of the tour, we did an optional tour to ride on an elephant, which lasted about 40 mins where you go into the jungle and through a river, our guide was really good and made it a lot of fun.
A few of us wanted to go to the 'Long Necks Village' and May organised this for us on our free day, this was so interesting, the Thai people are so friendly and polite.
All the hotels were of a good standard and were very varied from a nice 4
* hotel room to a hut in the jungle which we got to by boat along a river.
This was our 4th trip with Archers and we have already booked 2 for next year, thank you Archers for providing such varied trips.
Immerse yourself in exquisite, bustling Bangkok with its magnificent palaces and temples, wonder at the River Kwai, and enjoy the natural and ancient marvels of the Golden Triangle on this unforgettable holiday.
