DAY 1: Liverpool, UK.

Make your own way to Liverpool to embark your cruise ship, Ocean Countess. Latest embarkation time is 3pm. (D)

DAY 2: Greencastle (for Londonderry).

The commercial fishing port of Greencastle is your gateway to Northern Ireland's second biggest city, Londonderry. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: Killybegs.

A quaint yet lively fishing port, Killybegs is the gateway to delightful Donegal, a historical market town renowned for its production of traditional Irish Tweed. Explore the diamond-shaped centre of Donegal town, visit Donegal Castle and the ruins of the Franciscan Abbey, or head out onto the water for a cruise around the picturesque islands of Donegal Bay. Alternatively, take a guided tour of the Belleek Pottery for a chance to see how their famous pearly-white Parian China is produced, or traverse the rugged and remote mountain valleys of Ireland's naturally beautiful northwest coast to visit the gorgeous rustic woodlands of Glenveagh National Park. DAY 4: Glengariff.

On the Emerald Isle's south west coast, nestled between the rugged Caha Mountains and beautiful Bantry Bay, Glengarriff is a bustling seaside village, ideally set amongst some of Ireland's most stunning natural and coastal scenery. Wander along the historic waterfront to admire the quaint, colourful houses or traverse one of the lushly wooded valley trails to marvel at some of Ireland's oldest oak and birch groves. Perhaps join an optional trip to the atmospheric Beara Peninsula, famed for its wild beauty, rocky shores and magnificent mountain views, or perhaps journey to Bantry Town for a visit to the delightful Bantry House and Gardens. DAY 5: Cobh (for Cork).

Rich with a significant seafaring history, Cobh is a pleasant town that was once the embarkation point both for emigrants sailing for America and deportees bound for Australia, it also took in the rescued survivors of the Lusitania yet was the last port of call on the Titanic's doomed maiden voyage. Set on the southern shore of Great Island, one of three islands in Cork Harbour, Cobh offers great access to the wonders of County Cork. Why not head to the charming village of Blarney for a visit to its 15th century castle and a chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone? Or perhaps visit the intriguing Jameson Irish Whiskey Heritage Centre, or Cork city, the cultural capital of the south, to admire sights such as the Cathedral, Old Courthouse, City Hall and Bells of Shandon. DAY 6: St Mary's.

The glorious Isles of Scilly sit just off the coast of the pristine Cornish peninsula. Their rugged heath-clad landscapes are brimming with sub-tropical scenery, golden beaches and craggy granite cliffs offering spectacular views and a haven for wildlife. Today, explore postcard-perfect St Mary's, the largest of the islands yet just two miles wide and one mile long, to discover its stunning natural harbour and enchanting capital Hugh Town. Take an optional tour to Tresco, the second largest island and home to the magnificent Tresco Abbey Gardens. Wander amidst the abundant blooms and blaze of colourful, exotic flora, collected from all over the world, before viewing the splendid collection of old ship figureheads in the Valhalla Museum. DAY 7: St Peter Port.

Guernsey's capital is a captivating patchwork of Georgian and Regency architecture, terraced gardens and cobbled lanes tumbling down to a picturebook harbour. As the Channel Islands' oldest settlement, it boasts many historic sights including the medieval Castle Cornet, Candie Gardens and Hauteville House, once home to Victor Hugo, all fringed by a rugged coastline scalloped with beautiful bays. Enjoy an optional island tour or perhaps head across to the nearby island of Herm to admire its pretty coastline of wild flowers, sandy beaches and quaint harbours. (B, L, D)

DAY 8: Falmouth.

The delightful town of Falmouth is on the south coast of Cornwall and is famous for its harbour. (B, L, D)

DAY 9: Milford Haven.

This bustling Welsh port borders the River Cleddau and is backed by gentle hills. Used for shelter by Viking seafarers in early medieval times, it became an important whaling centre in the 18th century, boosted by Quaker whalers from the USA. All around, the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire unfolds a peaceful canvas of rolling farmland and small villages, together with landmarks such as the impressive Pembroke Castle, the holy island of Caldey and Carew Castle. Why not enjoy an optional drive along St David's Peninsula, to admire St David's Cathedral and the Bishops Palace, or perhaps head to Ramsey Island Nature Reserve to marvel at the varied geology and dramatic scenery of Pembrokeshire's tranquil islands? DAY 10: Liverpool, UK.

Arrive in Liverpool and disembark after breakfast. (B)
