Fly to Toronto where you will transfer to your hotel for 2 nights.
See Toronto's major landmarks, including the banking district, City Hall, the CN Tower and Roger's Stadium. Next, enjoy a visit to thundering Niagara Falls. View the falls from scenic points along the edge of the gorge, then go on board the sightseeing cruise for a close up view of the river below the falls.
Leave Ontario's capital and stop in Kingston, a city with an exciting history dating back more than 300 years. Continue to quaint Gananoque and Ivy Lea, where you'll enjoy a scenic cruise along the St Lawrence River, past wooded islands dotted with beautiful summer homes. Then proceed along the route of the Rideau Canal to Ottawa, Canada's beautiful capital city.
Queen Victoria chose this small lumber town as the site for Canada's capital, neatly avoiding the conflicting views of Toronto and Montreal. This morning visit the Canadian Mint, the embassy district and stately Parliament Hill. Also, visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police stables. Suggestions for this afternoon include the magnificent Canadian Museum of History or the array of restaurants and shops at the lively Byward Market.
Today, drive into the French-Canadian province of Quebec, where you will notice a change in language and tradition. Travel along the picturesque Ottawa River Valley to arrive in historic Quebec City, the heart of French Canada and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy an included guided tour of Quebec City which is North America's only walled city, crowned by the great turrets of the Chateau Frontenac. Old Quebec was the centre of New France and is now one of the most historic and best-preserved cities in North America. Within the walls are the Place d'Armes, the Laval Seminary and the star-plan Citadelle. Also see the stone houses crowding the narrow streets of Lower Town and ancient Place Royal by the St Lawrence River, and the historic Plains of Abraham where General Wolfe stormed the slopes. The afternoon is free.
This morning, why not take an optional excursion to Erabliere le Chemin du Roy Sugar Cabin for breakfast and a guided visit with a presentation about maple extraction? Afterwards, head south to cosmopolitan Montreal. As you enter Montreal, see the canted tower of the Olympic Stadium. Major attractions on this afternoon's guided sightseeing tour include Old Montreal and the Seminary of St Sulpice, Mont Royal and modern Montreal. In the evening be sure to try out one of the many sidewalk cafés specialising in French cuisine with a Canadian influence.
The day begins with a visit to Upper Canada Village, one of the largest and most complete living history museums in Canada. During your visit, you will be transported back in time to the 1860s. Afterwards travel back to Toronto, Ontario's capital.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK.
Maximum elevation on this tour is 1,600 ft.
NOTE: Please note that early and late season weather may make some of the optional excursions unavailable.
Enjoy the spectacular colours of Ontario and Quebec on our autumn foliage departures from 7 September-5 October 2017. These departure dates are historically the best dates to see the autumn foliage - weather permitting.
The departures on 29 June and 1 July 2017 will coincide with the Montreal Jazz Festival (29 June - 8 July 2017).

I have given a 'Good' against this as the cities chosen were all good. However, it was intense as there was a lot of travel by coach so too much time spent on the road and not enough at destinations or enough given to free time. Also it would have been much better to depart at the end of our tour from Montreal and not have to return to Toronto, although the bonus of that was a tour of the Upper Canada Village which was amazing.
This was our first coach tour of Eastern Canada and I have to say we were delighted with the content of the tour. We saw some wonderful scenery and sights that will live long in the memory. We throughly enjoyed the experience.

I would have given excellent for the tour except for an incident which happened in Montreal where the tour director abandoned us after giving us the wrong time for a tour we booked in Montreal. We missed the tour.I have already sent an email to Archers admin.with details and was told I will get an answer within 28 days which I consider to be too long for an answer.
Ive given it an excellent mark although 1 hotel could have been better
Interesting tour of 4 very different cities with a good mix of included and optional excursions, both en route and in and around the cities themselves
Not the best tour manager. Breakfast together as a group would have helped us gel
