Today brings a visit to Pula, one of the oldest towns in Istria, whose history dates back some 3,000 years. After a panoramic drive around Austrian Pula, best known for its Marine Cemetery and Marine Church, stroll through the old city to view its highlights, including stunning Roman relics such as its amphitheatre, walls, triumphal arch and forum, as well as its Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Afterwards, head to Rovinj, considered by many to be Istria's most beautiful town. Brimmed full with colourful Venetian-style houses, this island town boasts the lovely Church of St Euphemia, home to an early 4th century sarcophagus. After your tour, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, delving into the narrow cobbled streets lined with shops, cafes and eateries. En route back to Porec, look out for Lim Fiord, a beautiful river estuary lined by steep, wooded bank that cries out to be captured on camera. Includes Breakfast, Dinner

After your visit and lunch, enjoy time free for souvenir shopping before continuing to Lipica, a famous centre for horse breeding. Watch a fabulous horse show and take a guided tour around the stables before your return to Porec. Includes Breakfast, Dinner
This morning, travel to Motovun, a medieval, walled hill town above the Mirna River in the midst of one of Istria's most fertile regions. Delve into the old quarter and enjoy the wonderful views over the walls down over the river, whose banks are coated in vineyards and truffle-filled woodlands. Admire the 13th century Gothic bell tower next to the 17th century St Stephen church and a handsome a Romanesque palace in the main town square. Holiday mostly as described but a few of the included trips were not as in the brochure description or itinerary. Also a warning as to the level of fitness needed should be given.
Moscenice should have been missed and more time in Opatija.
We did not get a cruise around the Brijuni National Park just a 15 minute ferry to
the largest island and a train tour instead!
The trips out were a bit boring at times. Some trips were not suitable for people with walking difficulties but the brochure did not state this. We had to miss out on one trip as it involved a lot of walking.

The hotel was modern but the position with nothing else around, bars, cafes etc was disappointing. The cleanliness of my room and bathroom was poor. It was obvious that the bathroom floor was never swept or washed as I have red hair and the hairs on the floor plus some tissue from the toilet roll holder never moved. I didn't report it as the receptionist was very sullen and unapproachable. Plus I was worried about repercussions. If we had our own personal tour manager as with other companies they could have sorted it out. The food although plenty of variety was fairly tasteless and I stuck to salad for my dinner. I don't appreciate bones and tendons in a breadcrumbed chicken portion! The tours were good and visits to the various towns. The tour guide gave us plenty of information but didn't really interact with the group. Having the choice of 2 hotels meant that the group didn't mingle very well. I don't know if I would book with Archers again.
Nice hotel but room very cramped.Expected more from a4 star hotel. Excellent guide and driver. Some trips too far away or lacking in interest.
Very well planned and included lots of places. This is what we went for and were very pleased indeed with everything. Beautiful area and the itinerary made the most of the sight seeing and experience of those places.

No welcome pack or local information. Itinerary supplied beforehand completely different to actual tour days. Although guide very good, time keeping and organisational skills could have been better. For example left for Plitvice Lakes at 8am and returned at 01:15 next day. Wonderful day, inclusive lunch poor and a bad idea. To shorten the day could have bought our own lunch snacks at the Lakes. Evening meal very nice.
A beautiful place with some amazing stops on the tour. Every place was different and interesting

Tour guide very knowledgeable and helpful but talked far too much with detailed history and was often repeated.
The day to the plitvice lakes was too long, didnt get back to 1.30am. The included lunch was ok but not really required after a full breakfast. The evening meal was awful, not helped because we were so late. It was a lovely place but maybe the hotel needs to be on east coast to include this.
Disappointed that we did not get to Moscenice.
Also, did not have the cruise around Brijuni islands, was really looking forward to that but had to make do with a dotto train instead. Not quite the same!
