On day 8 (Sun) of your holiday simply remain in your hotel for a further seven nights and join the transfer to Dubrovnik airport on the following Sunday.
Your Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Dubrovnik - Dalmatian Coast.
Fly to Dubrovnik where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for seven nights. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 2: Dubrovnik.
Spend a morning at leisure, familiarising yourself with your resort. Later this afternoon, explore Dubrovnik on the included sightseeing tour with a local guide. Venture along the coastal highway for panoramic views of the city walls, ancient rooftops and picturesque surroundings before continuing on foot to the heart of the city for a walking tour. This ancient town, surrounded by fortresses, is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces preserved over centuries. The pleasant city walk will take you to the Rectors' Palace and the Dominican Monastery with its 14th century pharmacy. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 3: Dalmatian Coast.
Enjoy a day of leisure on the Dalmatian Coast or perhaps join one of the optional excursions. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 4: Montenegro.
A full day excursion to Montenegro, an area of natural beauty with an abundance of historical sites. Drive to the mouth of the Bay of Kotor, through the towns of Risan and Perast, and on to Kotor, one of the most beautiful parts of the bay, before continuing to Cetinje, rich in history and the one-time seat of Montenegran rulers. Your return journey takes you back along the coast and across the bay by ferry. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 5: Mostar.
Travel towards Mostar via the coastal town of Neum and the mountain areas of Herzegovina and the Neretva River. A guided tour will show you some of the city's highlights, such as the bazaar and the mosque. On your return journey, enjoy a stop in Pocitelj, a picturesque fortress town rich in oriental architecture. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 6: Dalmatian Coast.
A free day to relax and enjoy your chosen resort. Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's best preserved medieval cities and sits perched on the picturesque southerly coast beside olive and pine bordered shingle beaches. Offering plenty of shops, bars and restaurants Dubrovnik is a delightful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Similarly, Cavtat is also one of the loveliest coastal spots in Croatia and is set on a wooded headland dotted with cypress and pines trees. Just 15 miles south of Dubrovnik, Cavtat offers several pretty shingle beaches and a sleepy old quarter with a sheltered harbour and a good choice of shops and cafés. (Meals as per hotel details).
DAY 7: Trsteno and Ston.
The day starts with a visit to Ston, see the stone walls that stretch for over 5km, protecting the city and now attracting hundreds of visitors each year. Other highlights include the old salt-pan, where salt is still being produced today, and the famous oyster and mussel farms. After sightseeing there is a chance to sample some local seafood with a glass of wine then it is on to Trsteno Botanical Gardens for a leisurely stroll through delightful exotic vegetation and plants. DAY 8 to 14: At leisure on the Dalmatian Coast.
Remain in your resort hotel and enjoy a relaxing week at leisure. The time is yours to explore independently or why not opt for one of our interesting optional excursions?
DAY 15: Dalmatian Coast - UK.
Transfer to Funchal airport for your flight to the UK.
