Your Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Venice.
Fly to Venice where you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship, Costa Favolosa, for embarkation. (D)
DAY 2: Bari.
Perched on Italy's heel, Bari is the capital of Apulia, a region celebrated for its hill towns and culinary delicacies. Something of a hidden gem, the city has roots in Byzantine, Norman and Arabic culture, a rich heritage reflected in its architecture. Top of its sightseeing list is the majestic 12th century Basilica of St Nicholas, the burial site of Saint Nicholas. (B, L, D)
DAY 3: Katakolon (for Olympia).
This charming Greek port is your starting point for Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Perhaps see the arena where the games were first held in 776 BC, wonder at the ruined Temple of Hera and witness the priceless treasures at Olympia's museum. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: Izmir.
Known as the 'Pearl of the Aegean', this vibrant city boasts sandy beaches and palm-lined promenades and serves as the gateway for many of Turkey's finest archaeological sites. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or perhaps join an optional city tour. Alternatively take an optional tour of Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in the Mediterranean. Walk its pillar-lined Marble Street and admire the magnificent Great Theatre, which once seated 24,000 people. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: Istanbul.
The former capital of three empires, Istanbul straddles Europe and Asia and is a melting pot of culture, religion, ancient history and modernity. Savour its unique atmosphere and beauty with optional visits to the exquisite Blue Mosque, with its intricate blue and white-tiled facades or St Sophia Church, with its wonderful Byzantine mosaics. DAY 6: At sea.

DAY 7: Dubrovnik.
Circled by 12th century walls, Dubrovnik is a Mediterranean masterpiece. Stroll its narrow streets and squares admiring its churches, Rector's Palace and monastery cloisters. Or perhaps walk along its medieval walls before dipping into the myriad of shops, restaurants and outdoor cafés. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: Venice - UK.
After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK. (B)

Dining
Your cruise includes full board. Dinner is taken at two sittings in either the Duca di Borgogna or Duca d'Orleans restaurants. As you would expect all menus have an Italian flavour, with a number of international choices as well. The pasta dishes are particularly good with fresh pasta made on board everyday. There are a number of other restaurants and bars on board such as the informal Ca' d'Oro Buffet Restaurant or Lido di Porpora; the Club Favolosa à la carte restaurant, and the Samsara speciality restaurant. There are two gala nights per week when the dress code is formal; on other nights it is informal/smart casual.
Cabins
All cabins have twin or double beds; air-conditioning/climate control; satellite TV; telephone; safety deposit box; hairdryer; shower and wc. Your holiday price includes a category I1 cabin or you may choose to upgrade.

Tipping
According to international custom, tipping is accepted as a way of recognising good service. For your convenience Costa has introduced an automatic tipping system, so instead of worrying about how much and when to tip, an amount of 49 euros per person will be added to your on board account. For your convenience, a service charge of 15% is added to all bar and wine orders.
