Today, travel through New Hampshire, passing through the state capital of Concord with its famous, golden-domed State House. Soak up the views as your journey continues through the granite peaks of Franconia Notch State Park in the White Mountains to Vermont, where the rocky ridges melt into thick forests and sparkling lakes. From here, drive into the French-Canadian province of Quebec, heading for historic Quebec City. Today starts with a tour of UNESCO-protected Old Quebec, Canada's only walled city. Admire the Place d'Armes and ancient Place Royale before visiting the Plains of Abraham, scene of the seminal 1759 battle for the city between the British and French.
