Your Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Amsterdam area.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent, where you will be met by your tour director and transferred to the Amsterdam area for one night. Alternatively travel to Amsterdam on Eurostar for a one night stay.
DAY 2: Amsterdam area - Rhineland.
This morning, enjoy the colourful city of Amsterdam. After your included visit to a diamond factory, enjoy a sightseeing drive with a local guide to view the city’s highlights before boarding a canal cruise, the best way to see Amsterdam. This afternoon, head to the Rhineland area for one night. (B, D)
DAY 3: Rhineland - Romantic Road - Rothenberg - Munich.
Start today with a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine or opt for an optional Rhine cruise to see charming villages, hilltop castles and terraced vineyards. Next, drive along the Romantic Road, through villages laden with medieval ramparts and pretty lanes of half-timbered houses and stop to visit picturesque Rothenburg before heading to Munich for one night. (B)
DAY 4: Munich - Innsbruck - Venice area.
Drive amidst the farmlands of Bavaria to Austria and admire grand alpine landscapes en route to the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. Next, journey into Italy by way of the Brenner Pass and drive through stunning Dolomites scenery before reaching the Venice area for one night. (B, D)
DAY 5: Venice - Florence area.
Begin today with an included canal boat-ride to the heart of Venice, followed by an orientation of this enchanting city and a chance to watch skilled Venetian glass blowers at work. Later, continue to the hilly Tuscan countryside and the Florence area for two nights. (B)
DAY 6: Florence area.
A Renaissance gem and city of the Medicis, Florence is an enthralling city. Traffic is partly banned in the historic centre so visitors can wander at leisure and admire the city's timeless beauty. Enjoy the included city sightseeing walk with a local guide and visit one of Florence's leather shops. In the afternoon, why not join the optional excursion to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa? (B, D)
DAY 7: Florence area - Lake Lucerne.
Cross the Lombardy Plain to Switzerland and visit the pleasant town of Lugano. Enjoy a stroll along the lakeside promenade before driving through the St Gotthard tunnel to the German-speaking side of Switzerland and continuing to Lake Lucerne for one night. (B, D)
DAY 8: Lake Lucerne - Paris.
After a morning in Lucerne, perhaps joining the optional lake cruise, travel through green pastures laden with picturesque chalets of rustic timbering and luxuriant flowers before reaching France. Drive amidst some of France's most famous vineyards to Paris for two nights, arriving in time to enjoy an optional cabaret show. (B)
DAY 9: Paris.
Paris is a fascinating city famed for its culture, beauty, sophistication and sparkle. Today's included sightseeing with a local guide takes in many of the best-known Parisian sights: Notre Dame Cathedral, La Sorbonne, Boulevard St Germain, Eiffel Tower, Opéra, Champs Elysées and Rue de Rivoli to name just a few. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional visit to the Palace of Versailles and in the evening, an optional farewell dinner. (B)
DAY 10: Paris - UK.
Say farewell to Paris and head to the Channel port where your tour ends. After a short Channel crossing, join your coach service to London. Alternatively travel back to the station to join the Eurostar service to the UK. (B)

LORELEI AND ITS CASTLES
Discover the mystical magic of the Rhine river with its historic villages, beautiful castles and of course the legendary Lorelei Rock.

BY NIGHT AND CAFFE FLORIAN
Enjoy a motorboat ride along the impressive Giudecca Canal with a commentary of the most important sights. A leisurely walk to St. Mark's Square, past famous buildings, small bridges and inner canals will take you to the historical Caffe Florian with its orchestra playing Italian and international old favourites. You will be served two items of your choice - long drink, glass of wine, ice cream or Venetian cookies.

Contrary to belief, not all Swiss can yodel or blow the alp horn, but those you will meet at your after-dinner folklore party are real experts. They entertrain you with merry melodies on the accordation and traditional dances, while you sample cheese fondue and a drink of your choice.

SCENIC LAKE CRUISE
An hour's guided cruise on the most beautiful lake in Switzerland gives you an introduction to this lovely city from a completely different aspect. With its many bays, it offers superb panoramas of the surrounding landscape. The area is rich in historical associations, particularly the William Tell legend.

CABARET SHOW
A trip to Paris is not complete without a visit to a typical cabaret show. A magical evening, either at the Nouvelle Eve situated in the heart of Pigalle or at the Paradis Latin built in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel or at the Lido de Paris located on the famous Champs Elysées. A glass of champagne is served during the show.

Week-ends visit > Historic Versailles is the beautiful restored palace of Louis XIV, the Sun King.
