Your Itinerary

DAY 1: Hull, UK.

Make your way to Hull to join your ship, Ocean Countess. Latest embarkation is 3pm. (D)

DAY 2: At sea.

DAY 3: Bergen.

Bergen is Norway's second largest city and gateway to the fjords. Enjoy free time this morning to explore the ancient Bryggen area, with its beautifully preserved wooden Hanseatic buildings dating back to medieval times. (B, L, D)

DAY 4: Andalsnes.

Andalsnes, situated south east of Molde, is at the head of the Romsdalsfjord. Dominated by the Andalsnes Mountain, the town lies in a pretty valley between the spectacular mountain and the tranquil waters of the fjord. It is a gateway to some magnificent Norwegian scenery including the Trolls Path, one of Europe's most amazing roads with its eleven hairpin bends. (B, L, D)

DAY 5: Geiranger.

Geirganer is a little town nestled at the eastern end of Geirangerfjord where the sparkling waters and dramatic landscapes are absolutely stunning. Perhaps join an optional excursion to see magnificent waterfalls and the deepest lake in Europe, overlooked by the towering Mount Dallsnibba. (B, L, D)

DAY 6: Flam.

Set on Sognefjord, the world's longest and deepest fjord, Flam Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with towering peaks and cascading waterfalls. To fully appreciate the magnificence of the region, why not take an optional scenic train journey? The train makes regular stops to allow you to take in the spectacular views. (B, L, D)

DAY 7: Ulvik - Eidfjord.

The little village of Ulvik is the starting point for an optional overland excursion which brings you back to the ship in Eidfjord. Only excursion passengers may disembark here. Rejoin your ship this afternoon and sail through Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord. The eastern end of Hardangerfjord forms into the Eidfjord and the small town of the same name provides the gateway to the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau. Here you will find some of the most spectacular scenery in Norway with literally thousands of square miles of glaciers, spectacular lakes and large stocks of reindeer. (B, L, D)

DAY 8: At sea.

DAY 9: Hull, UK.

Arrive in Hull and disembark after breakfast. (B)

All cabins have twin beds (unless specified as doubles); air-conditioning; flat-screen TV with satellite channels; telephone; safety deposit box; hairdryer; shower and wc. Your holiday price includes a category 1 inside cabin or you may choose to upgrade.
