DAY 1: UK - Heraklion.

Fly to Heraklion where you will be transferred to your hotel for one night. (D)

DAY 2: Heraklion - Santorini.

This morning, transfer to your cruise ship, easyCruise Life, for embarkation and set sail for Santorini, a breathtakingly beautiful Cycladean island blessed with dramatic black sand beaches and spectacular sheer cliffs topped by radiant white villages and blue-domed churches. Arriving in the afternoon, enjoy an optional island tour, starting with a short boat trip to Athenios harbour, before driving amidst traditional hamlets and pretty countryside to the picturesque cliff-top village of Oia for spectacular views over the nearby islands and volcanoes. Later, return to Thira, thought by many to be the lost city of Atlantis, for free time before rejoining your ship. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: Piraeus (for Athens) - Mykonos.

Why not join an optional sightseeing tour of Athens? Take in highlights such as Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Constitution Square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the National Gardens, the Presidential Residence and the 'Kallimarmaron' - the white marble stadium of the modern Olympic Games, first held in 1896. This afternoon, relax on board your ship as you cruise to Mykonos, a traditional yet sophisticated island considered to be the jewel of the central Aegean. Enjoy free time to wander the maze of winding, white-washed lanes, nestled between gleaming sugar-cube shaped houses and pretty red-roofed churches, or perhaps admire the splendid harbour views from one of the cafés or restaurants overlooking the waterfront. DAY 4: Kusadasi - Patmos.

Reaching the Turkish coastal resort of Kusadasi this morning, enjoy free time to explore the bustling covered market, shops, cafés and restaurants of this lively port. Alternatively join the optional trip to the ruins of ancient Ephesus, one of the largest and best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Your guided tour will take in highlights such as Kuretes Street, the famed Library of Celsus, and the spectacular 20,000 seat amphitheatre. This afternoon, sail to Patmos, often called the Jerusalem of the Aegean Sea, for an optional visit to the Monastery of St John, where St John the Divine is thought to have written the Book of Revelation. This evening, set sail for Rhodes. (B, L, D)

DAY 5: Rhodes.

One of the sunniest of the Greek Islands, Rhodes was the base of the Knights of St John for over 200 years during the Crusades. Sail into the port of Rhodes Town this morning, a beautifully preserved and UNESCO protected walled resort town. Stroll down the Street of the Knights and visit the Palace of the Grand Masters or join the optional excursion to the magnificent acropolis of Lindos. Journey amidst the island's clustered sugar-cube villages and scented fruit groves to Lindos, where you'll ascend to the summit for beautiful views over St Paul's Bay and to explore marvels such as the Temple of Athena and a Crusader castle built by the Knights of St John. This evening, cruise towards Crete. (B, L, D)

Your cruise includes full board. Breakfasts are buffet style and continental, offering a choice of croissants, toast, cereal, fruit and fruit juice, although an à la carte breakfast menu is also available and usually includes English Breakfast and made-to-order omelettes. Lunches can include a variety of both international and traditional Greek dishes such as Greek salads, spaghetti, calamari, burgers or chicken, served with herbs, chips or salad, fruit and ice cream. Dinners are buffet styled and themed (e.g. Mexican, Italian, or Mediterranean) every evening to ensure there's something new to try each night. Alternative dinner options also include al fresco dining from an à la carte menu and wines from a carefully selected wine list. Most meal choices include a vegetarian option but special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking.
