Your Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Malaga area.
Fly to Malaga where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 2: Malaga area - Loja - Granada.
Begin the day with an orientation drive around Malaga, before heading inland through grandiose scenery stopping in Loja, formerly the Moorish town of the Medina Lawsa, captured by the Christians in 1486 during in the Reconquista. Arrive in Granada, located at the foot of the great Sierra Nevada mountain range, where you will stay for two nights. The rest of the day is yours so why not join the optional city sightseeing to discover the delights of the ancient Moorish city of Granada. (B, D)
DAY 3: Granada.
Today sees one of the highlights of your trip - your included sightseeing tour of the famous and fascinating Alhambra complex with a local guide. This splendid example of intricate Moorish architecture stands on a hilltop overlooking the city and is backed by the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada. (B, D)
DAY 4: Granada - Cordoba.
Drive through the undulating vineyards of Andalucia, for a stop in Montilla where you'll visit a typical Andalucian wine bodega. Next to Cordoba. This is perhaps Spain's most Moorish city and an optional tour takes you to what used to be its great mosque - known as one of Islam's greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world - which is now a Catholic cathedral. You'll enjoy the old whitewashed houses with their patios opening onto the winding streets and small squares. The afternoon is at leisure. (B, D)
DAY 5: Cordoba - Seville.
Journey further into the very heart of Andalucia, to the picturesque town of Ecija, then drive through Carmona, dominated by an ancient Alcazar. Just a few more miles brings you to the elegant city of Seville. Here you will have the rest of the day to find your bearings and do a little exploring on your own, or join us for an optional city sightseeing to see many of the city's highlights. In the evening you have the chance to experience the colourful spectacle of Seville's famous dance culture at our optional Flamenco excursion. (B, D)
DAY 6: Seville.
The day is yours to do some serious sightseeing around the beautiful Andalucian capital. (B)
DAY 7: Seville - Algeciras - Gibraltar - Malaga area.
Today, drive along the "Route of the Bulls", passing the Cartusian Monastery of Jerez, to the unique Rock of Gibraltar, a tiny British outpost surrounding a 400 metre mountain of Jurassic limestone. The Rock's most famous residents are of course, the tailless Barbary apes which are descended from pets brought by sailors from North Africa. The day ends with a drive along the coast road to the Malaga area for an overnight stay. (B)
DAY 8: Malaga area - UK.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay in the Costa del Sol. (B)

GRANADA'S HIDDEN SECRETS
Before seeing the most important sight of Granada (the Alhambra), admire some of Granada interesting sights on this city tour: starting with the second most important monument in Granada - the Carthusian Monastery, then into the city centre with an inside visit to the Royal Chapel. You will also have some free time in the Alcaiceria (the old Moorish quarter).

GIPSY EVENING
Any visit to Granada would not be complete without seeing live authentic gypsy dance: enjoy a passionate flamenco show with the purity and colour of gypsy Andalusian music and dance. A drink is included during the show.

MOORISH CORDOBA
The most Moorish-looking of all Spanish cities. Visit the Medina and the Street of Flowers: see the Roman bridge and Moorish water mills. Highlights are the huge Mosque and now Christian cathedral since 1236. Walk through the Jewish quarter, Old Synagogue and Cordoban courtyards.

SPLENDOURS OF SEVILLE
A panoramic drive through the centre of Seville to the outskirts of the city for a visit to Italica, a Roman city founded by Scipio. The Roman ruins include an amphitheatre, baths, theatre and various buildings containing mosaics. The 2,200 year old city is the birthplace of emperors such as Trajan and Hadrian. Return to the city centre and after a walk through the Santa Cruz Quarter enjoy a visit to the magnificent Cathedral, which is the third largest Christian temple in the world. (For Tour 6820 visit will be made to Casa de Pilatos, as the Cathedral is closed on Sunday mornings for mass).

CLASSIC FLAMENCO SHOW
No visit to Spain is complete without the thrill of a good flamenco show, and the art of flamenco is at its best in Seville. You will be taken to a select location to enjoy the guitars, castanets and whirling skirts. One drink is included.

Soak up the Spanish atmosphere by first enjoying a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River and then a three-course dinner with drinks in a lovely restaurant decorated in typical Andalusian style right in the centre of Seville.
