On day 20 you will be transferred to your hotel in Buenos Aires for two nights. Enjoy free time to explore or relax before being taken back to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.

Your Itinerary

DAY 1: UK - Lima.

Fly to Lima overnight.

DAY 2: Lima.

Arrive in Lima where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for one night.

DAY 3: Lima - Cuzco.

Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel for two nights. Enjoy an interesting tour of Cuzco, which will showcase the best the city has to offer including its cathedral, the Sun Temple, the fortress temple of Sacsayhuaman and Puka Pukara. (B)

DAY 4: Cuzco.

Today, enjoy a full day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which will include a visit to the Pisac Indian market, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Afterwards, there will be a visit to Ollantaytambo ruins which will also take in the town, the shrines and the fortification. (B, L)

DAY 5: Machu Picchu.

The included Machu Picchu excursion today takes you to what is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of scenic architecture in the world. A guided visit to the Machu Picchu Citadel will be included followed by lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. (B, L, D)

DAY 6: Machu Picchu - Cuzco.

Make the most of a morning at leisure to explore independently or to perhaps take one of the optional excursions that will be available before being transferred back to Cuzco for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 7: Cuzco - Santiago.

Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Santiago, via Lima. On arrival, you will be met and taken to you hotel for two nights. (B)

DAY 8: Santiago.

Santiago is a city of contrasts with traces of its Colonial past mixed with ultramodern, high-rise buildings. Today's included half day tour will take you past the Chilean University, San Francisco Church and Santa Lucia Hill, site of Santiago's foundation in 1541 and will include a visit to the historical museum, where you will learn more about Chilean history. (B)

DAY 9: Santiago - Valparaiso.

Today, you will be transferred to Valparaiso to embark your cruise ship, MS Veendam. (B, D)

DAY 10: At sea.

DAY 11: Puerto Montt.

Puerto Montt is your gateway to the scenic Lake District, a series of fragrant eucalyptus and pine forests, icy lakes, Bavarian hamlets and luminous snowcapped volcanoes. Enjoy a full day to explore or take one of the optional excursions that will be available. (B, L, D)

DAY 12: Chilean Fjords.

Witness some spectacular scenery today as we cruise along the coastline of Chile which offers up a maze of virgin-forested islands, glistening glaciers and stunning fjords that rival those in both Norway and Alaska. (B, L, D)

DAY 13: Amalia Glacier.

Sit back, relax and enjoy another day of scenic cruising as we pass one of the most spectacular glaciers in the world, Amalia Glacier which towers high above the sea. (B, L, D)

DAY 14: Punta Arenas.

The remote town of Punta Arenas, sits on rolling hills overlooking the Strait of Magellan and was once considered to be the world's southernmost city. Make the most of a full day to explore at your leisure or to join one of the interesting optional excursions that will be available. (B, L, D)

DAY 15: At sea.

DAY 16: Cape Horn.

Today, we pass Cape Horn; located at the southern end of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago it marks the north edge of the Drake Passage, the strait between South America and Antarctica. (B, L, D)

DAY 17: Port Stanley.

This morning, we arrive in Port Stanley, the capital and only true city in the Falkland Islands. Enjoy free time to explore or perhaps take an optional excursion. (B, L, D)

DAY 18 to 19: At sea.

After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to your hotel for two nights. (B)

DAY 21: Buenos Aires.

Enjoy free time to explore. (B)

DAY 22: Buenos Aires - UK.

Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK. (B)

DAY 23: Home landing in the UK.

Dining

Your cruise includes full board. There is a choice of dining venues on board: the main Rotterdam dining area has set dining for new 'dine as you wish' arrangements and a good selection of different menus. Casual dining is available in the Lido Restaurant most evenings with three courses of fresh, cooked-to-order specialities, or guests may enjoy elegant, sophisticated dining in the reservations-only Pinnacle Grill (additional cover charge per person applied to ship board account). Between meals there's the complimentary ice cream bar and after dinner there is the famous late night snack. Vegetarian or kosher meals and any special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking. Please note, we will automatically book early dining unless otherwise requested.

Cabins

All cabins have twin or queen size beds (or one sofa bed and one Pullman bed); air-conditioning/climate control; flat-panel TV; DVD player; telephone; music system; and 24-hour room service. Inside cabins have a shower only while outside cabins have a shower and bathtub. Your holiday price is based on a category K inside cabin or you may choose to upgrade.
