Miami and the Southern Caribbean + Las Vegas

Las Vegas: there's no place quite like it

Spend two nights in Miami before enjoying an idyllic Southern Caribbean cruise, which serves up one blissful sun-drenched island after another.

After your cruise, why not spend three nights in Las Vegas?

On day 13, transfer to the airport for your flight to Las Vegas. On arrival, you will be taken to your hotel for three nights. Enjoy free time to explore independently before being transferred to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.

Your Itinerary

DAY 1: UK - Miami.

Fly to Miami where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for two nights.

DAY 2: Miami.

Enjoy an included city tour of Miami followed by free time to explore. Famous for its Art Deco style architecture, this cosmopolitan city is the southernmost in the USA, yet has a decidedly Latin American feel. Discover its pristine, white-sand beaches and the beautifully restored, pink-and-blue waterfront buildings of South Beach, stroll along glitzy Ocean Drive or shop on South Beach's Lincoln Road.

DAY 3: Miami.

Today you will be transferred to your ship, Norwegian Dawn, for embarkation. (D)

DAY 4: At sea.

(B, L, D)

DAY 5: Samaná.

Set on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, this paradise-like natural peninsula is heaven for beach and nature lovers. Regarded as the prettiest area of the Republic, it's known for its unspoilt, white beaches, crystal clear mountain streams and lush, tropical rainforest. Samaná Bay is prime whale-watching territory, especially during January and February, when up to 3,000 migrating humpback whales visit its waters during their annual mating season. Explore the rich forests and blissful beaches of nearby Cayo Levantado, known as the Bacardi Isle for its nodding palms, or travel through verdant mountains to Salto de Limon to admire its famous 100ft high waterfall. (B, L, D)

DAY 6: Tortola.

Tortola is arguably the most beautiful of the British Virgin Islands. From Road Town, the quaint brightly painted capital, it's easy to explore the island's untouched splendours, perhaps stroll around the Botanical Gardens or snorkel in the dazzling waters of Cane Garden Bay. Alternatively, enjoy an optional 4x4 or bus trip into the interior, walk the trails around rainforest-clad Sage Mountain Park for spectacular island and ocean views, or perhaps swim with dolphins at the protected Prospect Reef dolphin sanctuary. (B, L, D)

DAY 7: Philipsburg.

The island of St Maarten is situated in the northeast Caribbean and is approximately 300km east of Puerto Rica. St Maarten is one of the smallest islands that is divided between two nations - the southern Dutch side and the northern French side. Philipsburg is the main town and capital of St Maarten and offers an array of things to see and do including shopping in one of its numerous boutiques, relaxing and watching the world go by in one of its eateries or visiting its sights on an optional excursion. (B, L, D)

DAY 8: St Johns.

Blessed with 365 golden beaches, Antigua has a deliciously laid-back atmosphere. With its warm, steady winds and encircling coral reefs, it's a dream for sun, snorkelling and watersports fans. Located in the Leeward Islands, the first settlers arrived here in the 1600s and the island stayed a part of the British Commonwealth until 1981. Get a feel for its colourful maritime history at Nelson's Dockyard, a working dock brimming with Georgian buildings, and English Harbour, where the British Fleet once anchored. Other delights include a leisurely optional boat trip to beautiful Jumby Bay and Devil's Bridge, stopping for a beach picnic on the idyllic, uninhabited Green Island on the way. (B, L, D)

DAY 9: Bridgetown.

Barbados has something for everyone with its palm-fringed beaches, friendly people, graceful plantation houses and historic towns. Cricket, afternoon tea and English churches all encapsulate this beautiful island's British colonial legacy, mingling with its sugar plantations and love of calypso to give it an exotic yet familiar feel. Join an optional tour to delve into its rich past, taking in the colonial architecture of its capital Bridgetown, historic Garrison Savannah and a rum factory to discover how its sweet, dark rum is made. Tour Sunbury Plantation House, a living monument to bygone plantation life or head to Green Monkey Wildlife Reserve to watch the island's famously mischievous creatures at play. (B, L, D)

DAY 10: Basseterre.

What St Kitts lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty. At only 68 square miles, it has an intoxicating blend of unspoilt beaches and abundant vegetation. St Kitts was one of the first islands in the Caribbean to be settled by Europeans and still has a French and British influenced culture. Explore Basseterre, the island's capital, and stroll the Historic District to admire Creole and West Indian architecture, or visit Brimstone Hill Fortress, set high on Mt Liamuiga 800 feet above the Caribbean Sea, for superb views over the neighbouring islands. (B, L, D)

DAY 11 to 12: At sea.

(B, L, D)

DAY 13: Miami - Las Vegas.

After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your flight to Las Vegas. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for three nights. (B)
