DAY 1: UK - Moscow.
Fly to Moscow where you will be met and transferred to your ship, MS Nikolay Chernishevsky, for embarkation. This evening, enjoy dinner and live piano music on board. (D)
DAY 2: Moscow.
Explore Russia's enigmatic capital on an included city tour this morning, admiring highlights such as the colourful onion domes of St Basil's Cathedral, legendary Red Square, Novodevichy Convent, and spectacular views from the Sparrow Hills. This afternoon, marvel at imposing red-brick towers, extravagant palaces and historic Cathedral Square on an included trip to the Kremlin, where gleaming gold domes and cupolas sit atop three of the Kremlin's best known architectural treasures: the Dormition, Annunciation and Archangel Michael cathedrals. Tonight, enjoy an optional visit to a Russian Circus or an optional 'Moscow by night' excursion. (B, L, D)
DAY 3: Moscow.
This morning, explore Moscow further or take advantage of one of the optional excursions available, including a trip to Sergiyev Posad or a tour of the New Maiden's Convent. This evening, enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner on board before tonight's fun-filled 'Getting to Know You' show. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: Uglich.
Enjoy a Russian language lesson and a traditional Russian song class this morning as you cruise to Uglich, one of Russia's 'Golden Ring Cities'. Explore this fascinating 12th-century village on a walking tour including the former Kremlin, the haunting Church of St Dmitry on the Blood, and the Transfiguration Cathedral before returning to your ship for this evening's folk concert. DAY 5: Yaroslavl.
Another 'Golden Ring' city, Yaroslavl is one of Russia's best-loved towns. View the city's highlights on an included bus tour to see the exterior of the Church of Elijah the Prophet before visiting the colourful local market, the Church of St Nicholas the Miracle-worker, and the Governor's House art exhibition. Back on board, activities include a Russian song lesson. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: Goritsy.
As you cruise across the White Lake, enjoy a Matryoshka painting lesson, where you'll learn how Russian Nesting Dolls are decorated. In the afternoon, reach Goritsy, a quaint village settlement near the famous Kirill-Belosersk (St Cyril) Monastery and enjoy a visit to the intriguing Museum of Icons. Tonight, feast on a traditional Russian dinner before this evening's folk concert. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: Kizhi.
Cruise to Lake Onega's picturebook island of Kizhi for a visit to the impressive Museum of Wooden Architecture. Famed for its distinctive Transfiguration Church with 22 cupolas, the UNESCO World Heritage site is also home to many other ancient wooden buildings, painstakingly relocated from all over Russia. This evening, enjoy a pirate themed dinner on board. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: Mandrogui.
Built to resemble a traditional Russian hamlet, Mandrogui is set amidst pretty parkland on the banks of the Svir River and is peppered with pretty wooden buildings topped with colourful tiles and woodcarvings. Enjoy the shops and artisan workshops before tucking into a tasty Russian treat - a succulent shashlik kebab. On board this evening, enjoy a farewell dinner before getting the chance to star in tonight's talent show. (B, L, D)
DAY 9: St Petersburg.
This morning, admire St Petersburg's historic centre on an included tour and take in highlights such as the Old Stock Exchange and Rostral Columns, the impressive Winter Palace façade, Peter & Paul Fortress, and Nevsky Prospect with its ornate onion-domed Church of the Resurrection and beautiful St Isaac Cathedral. After lunch, visit the world-famous Hermitage Museum on an included excursion. Tonight, join the optional 'Rivers and Canals' tour or the optional excursion to a Russian folklore show. (B, L, D)
DAY 10: St Petersburg.
Today's optional excursion takes you to Pushkin, home to the luxurious summer palaces of former Russian royalty. Visit Catherine Palace to marvel at the many lavish chambers, such as the famed Amber Room. This evening, join the optional excursion to a Russian ballet or the optional 'St Petersburg by night' tour. (B, L, D)
DAY 11: St Petersburg.
This morning, enjoy an excursion to the Peterhof, where you will visit the beautiful lower park and see the exterior of the palace. In the afternoon, why not take an optional transfer into St Petersburg to explore the city at leisure? (B, L, D)
DAY 12: St Petersburg - UK.
After breakfast, disembark your ship and transfer to St Petersburg airport for your flight to the UK. (B)

Accommodating 265 guests in light and functional outside cabins, MS Nikolay Chernishevsky provides both a spacious sun deck and a lounge bar with picture windows to give you uninterrupted, panoramic views of the beautiful passing scenery.

Dining
Your cruise includes full board. Breakfasts are buffet style while lunch and dinner can consist of either regional specialities or international dishes. All cabins are outside cabins and have air-conditioning; fridge; shower and wc. Your holiday price is based on a twin lower deck cabin, or you may choose to upgrade.

Tipping
Tipping is left entirely at your own discretion. If you decide to leave a tip at the end of your cruise and would like some guidance, we recommend £25-30 per passenger for the cruise, which will be distributed amongst the crew on board and £10 for the Cruise Director. This recommendation does not include local drivers or guides.
A single cabin is not a twin for sole use.
