DAY 1 : Depart UK.

DAY 2 : In flight.

DAY 3 : Arrive Sydney.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for four nights. To give you the best flexibility and independence on this tour, we have included a local host in Sydney to greet you as opposed to being lead by a tour director throughout your duration. Our local host will provide first hand insights into the best attractions to visit whilst in each district, ensuring you don’t miss a thing. You will be provided with a full itinerary of your stay; where and when you will need to meet fellow travellers for arranged excursions; plus ideas for those days at leisure. A great way to explore such a vast country.

DAY 4 : Sydney.

Sydney is one of the world's most iconic cities. Australia's oldest and largest city boasts one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. The famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House are instantly recognised. This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour that goes over the Harbour Bridge, the largest steel bridge in the world, to the lower North Shore for stunning views of the city skyline and Sydney Opera House, before passing through Sydney's most affluent suburbs to a spectacular lookout of the harbour. Throughout the tour learn about the first interaction between European settlers and Aborigines. Later enjoy a relaxing cruise around Sydney Harbour.

DAY 5 : Sydney - Blue Mountains - Sydney.

West of Sydney lie the Blue Mountains, a world heritage area offering spectacular views of the Megalong Valley and a rocky outcrop called the "Three Sisters" boasting a fascinating legend from Aboriginal "dreamtime". Begin your day with a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park. Here you can feed kangaroos and wallabies and get up close with koalas. After lunch in one of the local venues, you can visit several lookouts offering spectacular views of the mountains, as well as enjoying some time in the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens. Includes Lunch

DAY 6 : Sydney.

A full day at leisure to further explore Sydney. Perhaps take the chance to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge or stroll around the historic Rocks area. This is the oldest area in Sydney and has undergone a transformation into an area full of vibrant cafés, restaurants, tourist shops and stalls, while still maintaining the old world charm and historic buildings.

DAY 7 : Sydney - Ayers Rock (Uluru).

Fly to the "red centre" to Australia's legendary monolith, Uluru, the Aboriginal name for Ayers Rock. Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), the spectacular 36 rock domes and enjoy a walk through Walpa Gorge. Visit Sunset Strip, where there will be champagne and canapés while experiencing and photographing one of the world's greatest spectacles - Uluru at sunset.

DAY 8 : Uluru.

An early start today to view the sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjata from a custom built viewing platform among the sand dunes. Afterwards, head to the Mutitjulu waterhole which was a key source of water for the local Anangu people in the area for thousands of years. Admire the wonderful Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about their significance. A short visit to the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre completes your visit to central Australia. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

DAY 9 : Uluru - Cairns.

Depart Uluru and fly to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Australia's tropical rainforests.

DAY 10 : Cairns - Kuranda - Cairns.

Travel via the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway to the picturesque market town of Kuranda. Situated in the rainforest, you will have time to explore before taking the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and gliding over the rainforest canopy, whilst stopping for short walks along the way.

DAY 11 : Cairns - Port Douglas.

Travel along the scenic Captain Cook Highway along the coast to the tropical resort town of Port Douglas.

DAY 12 : Port Douglas - Great Barrier Reef - Port Douglas.

One of the world's natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef. It is made up of over 3,000 individual reefs and it is more than 1,400 miles long. Travel on a wavepiercing catamaran to the outer barrier reef. The reef is rich with a myriad of sea life including hundreds of species of tropical reef fish, 350 different corals and lovely green sea turtles. Don't miss the chance to snorkel or cruise in the semi-submersible for a diver's view of the reef. Morning and afternoon teas and a hot and cold tropical smorgasbord lunch are served. A reef presentation and fish feeding demonstration are all part of your day in this natural wonderland. Includes Lunch

DAY 13 : Port Douglas.

A full day at leisure to explore Port Douglas. Known for its relaxed, tropical climate and laid back atmosphere, the galleries, shops, restaurants, beach and tree-lined paths along the shore, provide a welcome ambience in which to thoroughly enjoy your last day in Australia.

DAY 14 : Port Douglas - Cairns - UK.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK.

DAY 15 : Home landing in the UK.
