Through the Savannah - NEW
Enjoy game viewing in two of Kenya's undeniably beautiful National Parks - Amboseli and the famous Masai Mara, with its huge range of wildlife and rolling savannah.
Your Itinerary
DAY 1: Depart UK.
DAY 2: Arrive Nairobi - Amboseli.
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative before departing for Amboseli. Located in Loitoktok District, Amboseli National Park is particularly known for its elephant population, yet it also offers fantastic bird watching and unsurpassed views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighbouring Tanzania. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive - look out for buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, impala and warthog happily roaming the grasslands. (L, D)
DAY 3: Amboseli.
Early this morning, head out for your first game drive of the day. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as Amboseli wakes up, bathed in golden morning light. Return to the lodge for breakfast. This afternoon enjoy a further game drive, taking in your last views of Mount Kilimanjaro before returning to the lodge for dinner. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: Amboseli - Lake Naivasha.
After breakfast, leave Amboseli behind and head for Lake Naivasha. As the only freshwater lake in the Rift Valley, a large variety of game is attracted to its shores. Here it is possible to see buffalo wading through the swamps, hippo bathing in the shallows, and giraffes wandering along the banks. The lake is surrounded by papyrus and yellow barked acacia trees abound with bird life, making Naivasha one of the world's best birding destinations. Arrive at your hotel in time for lunch before enjoying the rest of the day at leisure. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara.
Depart early this morning for the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arguably Kenya's most famous game reserve and a northern extension of the Serengeti, the Masai Mara offers unparalleled game viewing with all of the 'Big 5' residing here. Also look out for crocodiles, cheetahs, giraffes, ostrich, zebra and hippopotamus - as well as a plethora of other wildlife! This afternoon's game drive affords the opportunity to see some of these fabulous animals in the wild. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: Masai Mara.
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an optional early morning balloon flight over the Mara. There is chance for an afternoon game drive before returning for dinner. Why not celebrate your last night on safari by enjoying a drink as you look for hippos at the lodge's raised viewing platform and bar? (B, L, D)
DAY 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi - UK.
This morning wave goodbye to the rolling Mara savannah as you drive back to Nairobi and transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay at a Mombasa beach resort. (B)
DAY 8: Home landing in the UK.
