DAY 1: UK - Athens.
Fly to Athens where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for two nights.
DAY 2: Athens.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Athens today. Alternatively, why not join the optional three-islands cruise on the Saronic Gulf to view Aegina, Poros and Hydra? This evening, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the old Plaka District at leisure and stroll its narrow streets, awash with the sounds of bouzouki music and the lively bustle of local tavernas. (B)
DAY 3: Athens - Corinth Canal - Epidaurus - Nauplia.
Explore the highlights of this ancient capital on an included Athens sightseeing tour before heading to the Corinth Canal to marvel at this incredible feat of engineering. Later, continue to Argolis, a hilly countryside region dotted with pine trees and oleanders, for a visit to the spectacular amphitheatre of Epidaurus. Admire the open-air theatre, a magnificent setting that can still seat 14,000 spectators before journeying along the coast to Nauplia for one night. (B)
DAY 4: Nauplia - Mycenae - Sparta.
This morning, enjoy an included excursion to the ruins of Mycenae, an impressive ancient city once dubbed the 'city rich in gold' by Homer. During excavation, the Golden Mask of Agamemnon was unearthed here as well as other priceless treasures that exactly match Homer's descriptions in the Iliad. This afternoon, drive through the beautiful Peloponnese region to Sparta for one night. (B, D)
DAY 5: Sparta - Mystra - Olympia.
This morning's highlight is a visit to the ruined Byzantine citadel of Mystra, once known as the 'Wonder of Morea'. Nestled on a forested hillside in the lush Peloponnese region, Mystra's crescent shaped city was famed as a centre of culture and art and still contains distinctive churches and monasteries with elaborate frescoes as well as a palace and hilltop fortress. Later, continue to Olympia for one night. (B, D)
DAY 6: Olympia - Delphi.
Visit Olympia to learn more about the history of the Olympic games on an optional sightseeing tour. This afternoon, cross the spectacular modern cable-stayed bridge between Rion and Antirion and stop to admire this wonder of contemporary architecture, widely considered to be an engineering masterpiece. Later, journey through picturesque villages to magnificent Delphi, for one night. (B)
DAY 7: Delphi - Kalambaka.
Spend the morning at leisure in Delphi or join the optional sightseeing tour of Delphi archaeological site. Once called 'The Navel of the Earth', Delphi was considered the greatest Oracle of the ancient world and people journeyed from all over the globe to seek advice here. Today it is still one of the grandest sights in Greece, with its theatre and Temple of Apollo still standing in their lovely natural surrounds. This afternoon, drive via Lamia and Trikala to Kalambaka for one night. (B, D)
DAY 8: Kalambaka - Meteora - Athens.
Today's included trip is sure to be a highlight of your trip. Head to the heart of Meteora, where a cluster of monastic buildings sit perched atop natural pillar-like rock formations, hundreds of metres above the valley floor. Their spectacular and seemingly inaccessible position provided an ideal retreat for the hermit monks who lived here and today, the unusual monastery-topped rock spires provide an unforgettable sight. Later drive to Athens for an overnight stay. This evening, why not join our optional dinner at a typical Greek restaurant? (B)
DAY 9: Athens.
A full day at leisure to make the most of this fascinating ancient city. (B)
DAY 10: Athens - Piraeus - embarkation - cruise to Mykonos.
Embark at Piraeus and cruise the Aegean on your way to Mykonos, the gem of the central Aegean which combines a sophisticated lifestyle with the simple and charming life of a Cycladic Island. Leave for Kusadasi after dinner. (B, L, D)
DAY 11: Kusadasi - Patmos.
Explore the picturesque Turkish coastal town of Kusadasi or join the optional trip to the ancient Roman ruins of Ephesus, one of the largest and best preserved ancient cities in the world. Later, sail to Patmos, often called the Jerusalem of the Aegean Sea. Why not join the optional excursion to the Monastery of St John where St John the Divine wrote the Book of Relevation? This evening, sail to Rhodes. (B, L, D)
DAY 12: Rhodes.
Morning arrival in one of the sunniest of the Greek Islands, Rhodes, a town both medieval and modern. Don't miss the optional excursion to Lindos and its Acropolis. Evening departure to Crete. (B, L, D)
DAY 13: Crete - Santorini.
Morning in Heraklion, capital of Crete. Enjoy a fascinating optional excursion to Knossos, the centre of the 3,000BC Minoan civilisation. Later, sail to Santorini (weather permitting), the 'Black Pearl of the Aegean', for an optional visit to the cliff-top village of Oia. Evening departure to Piraeus. (B, L, D)
DAY 14: Piraeus - Athens - UK.
Early morning arrival in Piraeus for disembarkation. Transfer to Athens airport for your flight to the UK. (B)

The capacity of each ship varies from approximately 650 to 1,000 passengers, making them ideal for cruising the Greek Islands.

Swimming pool; restaurant; bar; lounge; theatre with different shows each night such as cabaret, mime acts, magicians etc; casino, cinema or disco; gift shops; card room or library; gym; lifts.
Dining
Your cruise includes full board. There is one main restaurant; breakfast and lunch are open seating with dinner taken at two sittings. There is no dress code during the day in the restaurant, but most passengers choose smart/casual attire for dinner (shorts and vests are not permitted in the dining room). During your cruise there will usually be a welcome and farewell gala dinner, a Greek night and a late night snack buffet. Vegetarian meals or special dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking.
Cabins
All inside cabins are air-conditioned, simply furnished and have en suite shower and wc. Your holiday price is based on a 2 berth inside cabin with private facilities or you may choose to upgrade to an outside cabin.
Tipping
For your convenience, an automatic tipping system operates onboard the ship. Approximately 8 euros per person per day will be added to your account. This amount can be adjusted at your own discretion, should you wish.

A TASTE OF ATHENS
First by coach into the centre of Athens where you will pick up the "train" which will take you at a leisurely pace for about 20 minutes around the old part of Athens, the "Plaka" - a good way to get a first impression of the layout, shops and points of interest. Re-board your coach to continue to a Taverna for a Greek feast with unlimited local wine. On the way back to the hotel view the illuminated Acropolis.

AEGEAN CRUISE
Visit three Greek islands and enjoy lunch on board your modern cruise ship. Visit the Saronic islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra. On Hydra there are no cars, the only means of transportation is by donkey.

OLYMPIA ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE
This ancient site is the most famous of Greek sanctuaries, where Zeus was worshipped and where his ivory and gold statue was counted among the Seven Wonders of the World. Olympic Games were held here between 776 BD and 393 AD. Your local guide will bring Olympia back to life with her commentary.

DELPHI ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE
Ancient Delphi is situated on the southern slopes of Mount Parnassus, overlooking the sacred valley and Itea Harbour, and home to the oracle of the sun god Apollo. Visit the oracle site, the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian treasury, stadium and theatre.

ANCIENT EPHESUS
Drive through the colourful town of Kusadasi and along the coast to reach Ephesus, famous in antiquity for its Temple of Diana - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - and later the home of St. John. Discover innumerable monuments, view the symbols all around and marvel at the fact that one is still able to read the inscriptions in the ancient Greek language. Before returning to the ship, enjoy free time in Kusadasi.

EPHESUS & VIRGIN MARY'S HOUSE
Drive through the colourful town of Kusadasi to reach Mt. Koressos. Situated in a small valley, the humble chapel lies on the site of the little house where the Virgin Mary is believed to have spent her last days. Continue on to Ancient Ephesus through the Magnesian Gate for a guided walking tour which will take you through one of the most magnificent excavations in the world. Before returning to the ship, enjoy free time in Kusadasi.

SANTORINI SAILING & VOLCANO
Sail along the strange formations of the volcanic shores, where black lava rocks and white pumice are combined beautifully with the red colour of lava. Take a walk to the top of the volcanic island where sulphur is spewed into the air by one of the craters. BUTTERFLIES VALLEY & WALKING
Drive along the western side of the island of Rhodes, where lies the Valley of the Butterflies, one of the most attractive destinations on the island. Driving back to Rhodes Town continue the tour on foot, following the guide through the narrow, cobblestone streets. The most imposing building of medieval Rhodes, the Palace of the Grand Masters, dominates the end of the Street of the Knights that goes through colorful shops to the 15th century Hospital of the Knights which now houses the Archaeological Museum.
