Kenya MapFabulous Beaches, Wonderful Wildlife, Kenya Has It All

Home to some of the world's most exciting and prolific wildlife, Kenya also offers a stunning natural diversity. From mountainous peaks and the legendary plains that host the most magical wildlife arena on earth, to golden beaches, ribbons of coral reef and a majestic tribal tradition; there's so much to tempt you.

Diani Beach

With the Shimba Hills National Park Reservation and miles of palm-fringed sands at its doorstep, Diani Beach is justly popular. It is the most developed resort on the south coast, however its laid-back tropical appeal remains timeless. The coral reef offshore provides diving and snorkelling opportunities and glass-bottom boats patrol the area. Nightlife is mainly hotel-based.

Transfer time from airport: 1 hr 30 mins approx.

Bamburi Beach/Kikambala

Part of the reef-protected, white sand beach stretching north from Mombasa, Bamburi is some 14 kms from town. Scuba-diving, snorkelling and glass bottom boat trips are available over the reef, along with other watersports. The Hallas Nature Park is just south of the resort where you may spot hippo, crocodiles, pelicans, antelope and giant tortoises. There are many western-style restaurants and plenty of discos. Kikambala forms the northern end of the resort where life is very much centred around the beach.

Transfer time from airport: 30 minutes approx.
