The Algarve: Great Golf, Great Beaches, Wonderful Weather

The lovely Algarve has long been a popular choice with British visitors. Holiday resorts with shops, restaurants and bars have developed all along the coast but just a short drive inland you will still find a leisurely way of life. Once a fishing village, Quarteira is now a busy resort with a large selection

of bars and restaurants. The new seafront promenade connecting with Vilamoura is great for an evening stroll and there is an interesting weekly market.

Transfer time from Faro to Quarteira: 30 mins approximately.

The most cosmopolitan resort in the Algarve, Vilamoura boasts five golf courses, a stylish marina with many shops, bars and restaurants, and a casino. The sandy beach is close by and there is also tennis, riding and bowls.

The old fishing town of Albufeira still has lots of atmosphere, with its whitewashed walls and narrow, cobbled streets. In recent years, the resort has expanded and is now spread over several kilometres and offers a wide range of facilities and entertainment.
