DAY 1: UK - Copenhagen.
Fly to Copenhagen where you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship, Costa Atlantica. (D)
DAY 2: At sea.
For your first day at sea relax on your cruise ship and enjoy the entertainment and facilities on board. (B, L, D)
DAY 3: Tallinn.
Estonia's capital is a fascinating city with a well preserved medieval Old Town and melée of fortifications, churches and winding cobbled streets. A magnet for visitors is Toompea, a hill at the heart of the city, home to many fine buildings, including the 19th-century Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle and the Toomkirik, a Lutheran cathedral built in 1233. Lively Town Hall Square, lined with open-air cafés and bars, is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: St Petersburg.
Known as the 'Venice of the North' and Russia's most European city, St Petersburg was created by Peter the Great in 1703 as Russia's 'Window on the West', and was built with 18th and 19th-century European pomp and orderliness, mainly by European architects. The result is a city which remains one of the world's most beautiful and enchanting, with a wealth of fine buildings, including the famous Winter Palace, housing the magnificent Hermitage Museum, which easily rivals such well respected establishments as the Louvre, the Prado and the British Museum. DAY 5: Helsinki.
Often called the 'White City of the North' because of its many buildings constructed using a local light-coloured granite, Finland's capital city retains a small-town feel, with no high-rise buildings and many charming parks and waterways. Sightseeing highlights include: Well Park, a shady oasis in the south-east corner of the city; Senate Square, the heart of neo-classical Helsinki, designed by the German architect Carl Ludvig Engel; the stunning copper-domed Temple Square Church; and the Uspenski Cathedral with its burnished gold onion domes, spectacularly located on a clifftop overlooking the North Harbour. DAY 6: Stockholm.
Built on 14 islands, Sweden's capital is a beautiful city, with noble architecture and lovely parks. The Gamla Stan Old Town is home to many sightseeing attractions, including the magnificent 18th-century Royal Palace, the majestic Cathedral of St Nicholas, the German Church, the House of Lords and the Stock Exchange. The city is also Sweden's main educational and cultural centre and has a university that dates back to 1877, as well as a fine opera house, theatre and concert hall. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: At sea.

DAY 10: Flam.
Set on Sognefjord, the world's longest and deepest fjord, the Flam Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with towering peaks and crashing waterfalls. To fully appreciate the magnificence of the region, why not take an optional scenic train journey? The train makes regular stops to allow you to take in the spectacular views. (B, L, D)
DAY 11: Hellesylt - Geiranger.
We dock at Hellesylt where you can disembark for optional excursions. This is an area where you'll see magnificent waterfalls and the deepest lake in Europe, overlooked by the towering Mount Dallsnibba. In the afternoon visit Geiranger, a little town nestled in the eastern end of the Geirangerfjord. The views of the sparkling waters and dramatic landscape from the mountain are absolutely stunning. DAY 12: Bergen.
Founded in 1070AD, Norway's original capital is a beautiful and charming city with a wealth of history and heritage. The ancient Bryggen area has fascinating wooden houses dating from the 14th to 17th-centuries, as well as many quaint little shops, the 12th-century Mariakirke and the Hanseatic Museum, an old house restored to show how medieval merchants lived and worked. The city is, of course, the birthplace of world-famous composer Edvard Grieg, whose statue graces the lovely City Park. (B, L, D)
DAY 13: Stavanger.
Stavanger is a cosmopolitan city located on the southeast coast of Norway. Packed with culture from its charming traditional local architecture and small, brightly coloured wooden houses to its bustling nightlife, it is no wonder that Stavanger was a European Capital of Culture in 2008. Spend time at leisure to explore this interesting city, perhaps visiting Stavanger Domkirke, the oldest cathedral in Norway or join an optional boat tour to Lyse Fjord where you can view magnificent scenery. DAY 14: Oslo.
Located at the head of a vast fjord, Norway's capital (the oldest capital city in Scandinavia) has many fine buildings, museums and monuments, conveniently centred around Karl Johans Gate. These include the spectacular Royal Palace, the Edvard Munch Museum, which houses some of the artist's best works, and the excellent National Gallery. Fans of military history shouldn't miss the Resistance Museum, which traces Norway's resistance to Nazi occupation in World War II and the Armed Forces Museum, which includes a vast collection - from Viking artefacts to the tools of modern warfare. This evening, continue your cruise to Copenhagen. (B, L, D)
DAY 15: Copenhagen - UK.
After breakfast transfer to Copenhagen airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
Note: When combining the two cruise itineraries, menus and entertainment may be repeated in the second week. The same cabin cannot be guaranteed for 2 weeks and it may be necessary to change cabins on day 8. On 14 Jun departure the cruise will visit Helsinki on day 3 and Tallinn on day 5.
