DAY 1: UK - New York.
Fly to New York and transfer to your hotel for two nights. This mesmerising city is the world's most exciting metropolis and bursts with iconic sights, cosmopolitan restaurants, great shopping and sparkling Broadway shows.
DAY 2: New York.
A full day to immerse yourself in New York; from buzzing Times Square to world-class museums, the city is a captivating montage of historic and diverse neighbourhoods. Catch the ferry to Liberty Island to view the legendary Statue of Liberty and gaze at the spectacular Manhattan vistas, visit the Empire State building, stroll leafy Central Park, or shop till you drop at Macy's and Bloomingdale's. This evening, why not visit a Broadway show or dine at one of the fantastic restaurants in colourful Chinatown or Little Italy.
DAY 3: New York.
Enjoy a morning at leisure. This afternoon, transfer to your cruise ship. (D)

DAY 5: Halifax.
Set on a spectacular coastline, the beautiful capital of Nova Scotia was the first permanent British settlement in Canada and combines big city excitement with inescapable small-town charm. Oozing maritime heritage and renowned for its connections to the doomed Titanic, this historic city is clustered around a picturesque harbour. Discover its best-known sights on a horse-drawn carriage tour, taking in the impressive star-shaped Citadel and lovely public gardens before exploring its bustling shops, galleries and cafés, famed for serving tea and crumpets. Alternatively, head out to pretty Peggy's Cove, nestled in craggy shores nearby and tuck into a delicious lobster lunch whilst enjoying spectacular views of the seascapes, lighthouse and brightly painted houses. DAY 6: St John.
Rich in history, this harbour town is located at the mouth of the St John River on the Bay of Fundy. Visit the old City Market for a variety of crafts and souvenirs, or take a relaxing stroll through the narrow streets. Wander through historic Trinity Royal or visit Canada's oldest independent brewery. The Reversing Falls are also worth a visit, when the water of the Bay of Fundy mixes with the St John River, the river is pushed back, creating 'reversing falls' or rapids. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: Bar Harbor.
Originally given the name 'Eden' by its first inhabitants, Bar Harbor has a special mystique. The town, set at the gateway to Arcadia National Park, was once one of the most exclusive resorts in the world, with artists, poets and writers exploiting the island's natural beauty. Enjoy free time to explore or join one of the optional excursions. Perhaps enjoy a scenic drive along Arcadia's 27-mile Park Loop Road to admire spectacular coastal, mountain and forest scenery, before tucking into a fresh lobster bake or boarding a four-masted schooner for a relaxing sail on Frenchman's Bay. DAY 8: Boston.
Boasting more colleges than any other US city, Boston exudes fascinating history and an effervescent, intellectual culture driven by its thriving student community. Why not walk the Freedom Trail to witness its most notable sights, tour the replica Boston Tea Party ship or visit buzzing Harvard Square, pretty Louisbourg Square, TV's famous Cheers bar or the New England Aquarium. DAY 9: Newport.
Home to spectacular coastal scenery, awe-inspiring architecture and a thriving waterfront, Newport is considered to be one of the gems of New England's coastline. This quaint, colonial town has long been the summer home of New England's rich and famous and was frequented by John F. Kennedy. Explore the area's rich history on a scenic drive through the town followed by a tour of one of the grand mansions. Alternatively, admire the beauty of the town's rocky coastline on an optional cliff walking tour. (B, L, D)

Today, disembark your ship in New York and transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK. (B)
