Ischia
Ischia Known as the 'island of well-being' due to its famous hot spring waters, is made up of a number of small towns, seperated by long sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and mountainous woodland.
Ischia Porto Centres around its harbour with a range of bars and nightclubs. Home to the impressive and iconic Aragonese castle, built into the rock face that rises out of the sea.
Forio A characteristic town surrounded by vineyards, which is made up of narrow streets and whitewashed houses.
Casamicciola A well-establised spa town which has been healing visitors since Roman times. Mount Epomeo rises up behind Casamicciola offering beautiful mountainous woodland for walking and spectacular views.
Lacco Ameno An elegant resort to the north of the island and a site of significant archaelogical finds including a cup inscribed with a verse by Homer.
Transfer from the Port of Naples to Ischia is by Jetfoil, Hydrofoil or boat depending on time of arrival at the port.
Transfer time from Naples to Ischia: 2hrs 30 mins approximately.
Note: Due to the mountainous nature of the Island of Ischia, we would not recommend it as a holiday destination for people with mobility difficulties.
