Fly to Barcelona where you will be transferred to your hotel for one night.
DAY 2: Barcelona.
This morning, make your way to a central meeting point for your included half day sightseeing tour of Barcelona. Highlights include the Cathedral, Gothic Quarter and Olympic Village before heading to Montjuich Hill for panoramic views of the city and the port. Continue to the Spanish Village for a chance to sample the Cava that the region is famous for, before returning to the city centre. Afternoon transfer to your cruise ship for embarkation. (D)

DAY 4: Casablanca.
Look forward to a highlight of your cruise today - the chance to savour the rich culture and sizzling colours and charms of Morocco. With a captivating Moorish and French heritage, Casablanca, the commercial capital of Morocco, is a melting pot of old and new, boasting wide boulevards, historic Arab architecture and a vibrant atmosphere. Today, enjoy an optional tour of the Hassan II Mosque, a striking feature of the city's skyline or travel overnight to Marrakech on an optional trip to this red-walled desert city with its labyrinthine alleyways, vast market square and ornate mansions. DAY 5: Agadir.
Studded with peaceful gardens, white Moorish-style buildings and colourful tourist bazaars, modern Agadir was rebuilt after a devastating earthquake in 1960 and is an important fishing port renowned for its seafood and mild winter climate. Today brings a choice of exciting optional excursions to see the sights and sounds of traditional Morocco on a visit to the Kasbah, the ancient hilltop walls of the old city - a dramatic reminder of the town before the earthquake struck. DAY 6: Las Palmas.
Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492, Gran Canaria boasts a bustling and historic capital - Las Palmas. Beguiling and beautiful, this lovely city brims with Spanish influences and centres around an old quarter threaded with atmospheric cobbled streets, wooden balconied houses and tree-filled squares. Take an optional excursion to the island's interior with a visit to the spectacular crater of Bandama, an extinct volcano perched 2,000 feet above sea level. Alternatively, choose an optional trip to the fabulous Maspalomas Dunes, an area of outstanding natural beauty where billowing dunes spread along a golden beach. Only accessible by foot or camel, these wonderful miniature desert mountains play host to a variety of rare plants and mammals. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: Funchal.
Steeped in history and decked in riotously coloured flowers that give it its nickname of the 'Garden Isle', the Portuguese island of Madeira basks in year-round sunshine. Highlights include its fairytale capital, Funchal, where quaint cobbled lanes and flower markets tumble down to a natural harbour. Beyond lies a lush interior of towering peaks and fertile valleys cloaked in thick forests and waterfalls and famed for the production of sweet Madeira wine. (B, L, D)

DAY 9: Malaga.
One of the Mediterranean's oldest and most elegant ports, Malaga overflows with atmosphere and has a historic quarter dating back 800 years. Crowned with the remains of a mighty Moorish fortress, the Gibralfaro castle, and its splendid 11th century Alcazabar, the city offers tree-lined boulevards, charming tapas bars and numerous impressive sights, including a fine cathedral, leafy botanical gardens and a superb Museum of Fine Arts, filled with works by Pablo Picasso.
