DAY 1: UK - Bergen.
Fly to Bergen where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: Bergen (included sightseeing) - Flåm area.
Awake to the promise of a fascinating morning's sightseeing in Norway's ancient capital. Known as the 'Wooden City', Bergen is the country's second largest city and the gateway to the fjords, presenting myriad interesting and picturesque sights. Your tour takes in the ancient Bryggen area, with its beautifully preserved wooden Hanseatic buildings dating back to medieval times, and other highlights amidst this charming, historic capital. In the afternoon, travel northeast to the Flåm valley for an overnight stay, passing through some of Norway's most spectacular scenery en-route, including the awe-inspiring Hardangerfjord. (B, D)

DAY 3: Flåm area - Geilo.
This fantastic, scenic day begins with either a morning at leisure or an optional ride aboard the Flåm Railway train to enjoy extraordinary views of the Flåm Valley - an area of soaring mountains, thundering waterfalls and outstanding natural beauty. The famous Flåm Railway is one of the steepest normal-gauge railways in the world. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you pass through 20 tunnels and climb to a total of 867 metres on your hour-long journey to Myrdal station. This afternoon, head into the beautiful highlands surrounding the popular ski resort of Geilo - where you'll stay for three nights. (B, D)

DAY 4: Geilo - Vassfaret - Geilo.
Today brings a fascinating journey to the stunning Flå area, including a visit to the Vassfaret Bear Park, set in a protected forest valley and featuring an enclosed bear reserve which is home to a number of magnificent brown bears, as well as moose, elk and deer. In the evening, you'll get the chance to experience an exciting optional elk safari - an unforgettable end to the day. (B, D)

DAY 5: Geilo.
Enjoy a day at your leisure savouring the attractions of the Geilo area or take our optional excursion to discover more of this beautiful region. (B, D)

DAY 6: Geilo - Laerdal - Sognefjord cruise - Osoyro.
Prepare for the highlight of your tour, as we drive to Laerdal by way of the area's new 24 kilometre long tunnel to embark on our Sognefjord cruise to Gudvangen. The longest and deepest in the world, this incredible, mighty fjord extends 200 kilometres inland and will unfold before you in changing vistas of staggering beauty, leaving an indelible imprint on your mind. From Gudvangen we drive via Voss to Osoyro, south of Bergen for a two-night stay. (B)

DAY 7: Osoyro.
Spend the day relaxing or exploring this magnificent area at your own pace, perhaps enjoying some colourful souvenir shopping. Or why not enjoy our optional coach and boat tour to the magical Baronial Estate of Rosendal, with its Renaissance castle and gardens framed by majestic glaciers, mountains and waterfalls. The castle's atmospheric halls and chambers, interesting carriage exhibition and beautiful gardens make it a truly memorable trip. (B)

DAY 8: Osoyro - Bergen - UK.
Transfer to Bergen airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
