Hawaiian Islands
15 DAYS FROM £1629

This holiday has departures available between: 11th Sep 2008 to 4th Dec 2008
756 Keith & Chris Bradley UK I was just 14 when I fell in love for the first time!!! When I saw the film Blue Hawaii at the local cinema, not only did I fall for Elvis but Hawaii itself - its lush green mountains, blue ocean and exotic beaches. I knew that one day I would have to follow in the King's footsteps and visit what I saw to be "paradise on earth".

My wonderful husband, Keith, had a very different dream - to see Humpback whales in their natural environment.

As soon as I saw the Hawaiian Island tour in the Archers brochure, I booked the trip to celebrate my 60th birthday. To make our holiday even more special, Archers tailormade our holiday so we could fly to Toronto and see our daughter, Debbie and Mike, Jake, Joe and Jensen, our 3 wonderful grandchildren, before starting the trip in LA.

Even better, they also arranged for us to via Denver, Colorado so we could visit our very dear friends, Alice and Mike, and their family and spend time at their home.

We were given beautiful scented Leis on our arrival in Honolulu - what a start to a holiday. Our hotel was 5* plus and Judy, our tour director, made sure everything went perfectly.

Every day we had an adventure to look forward to, trips to Pearl Harbour, the city, Waimee Canyon and two volcanoes and a wonderful Luau. There was even the opportunity for Keith and I to renew our wedding vows in the Fern Grotto to the wonderful Hawaiian wedding song.

The group became like extended members of our family and made some very special friends before the end of the holiday.

Whilst on the island of Kauai, we discovered that the Coco Palms hotel, sadly now derelict, where Elvis had stayed 1961 was only a short walk away from our hotel.

Not wishing to miss such a golden opportunity, my new friends, Rick, Nancy and George, decided to pay a visit. To our delight the Security guard, on seeing how excited we were, gave us a guided tour of the hotel and showed us exactly where Blue Hawaii had been filmed, including that famous scene where Elvis and his leading lady sailed down the short river following their wedding.

We were even taken to see Elvis's own personal condo where he had stayed in 1961 and again in 1968 when he returned with Priscilla on his honeymoon. UTTERLY FANTASTIC !

Between January and April, the Humpback whales return to Hawaii and whilst on the island of Maui we were able to go on a real live whale watching tour.

I cannot describe the smile on Keith's face as he saw an a whale actually breech right in front of his eyes only to say that Dream No. 2 had just come true.

THANK YOU ARCHERS -
YOU REALLY DID MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE...

756 Ms J Locorriere Brighton I have just returned from your Hawaiian Islands Tour.. It was my fifth holiday with Archers and was, as always, absolutely brilliant.

Kimo Grigsby, our Tour Director excelled at his job. He was so well organised and laid back making sure we were all looked after throughout the Tour. The coach company used and the other companies used for optional excursions were excellent. I did many of the excursions and saw so much of the islands, the scenery was spectacular.

I had a great time and am looking forward to my tour I have booked with you next year to New Orleans and the Old South. Thanks once again for a marvellous holiday.

756 Anne Hall UK Last month my mum and I went on the Hawaiian Islands tour with your company and really enjoyed it we would like to go on it again in 2 years time.

But I would like to make a suggestion, it is to spend one day less on the island of Kauai and that extra day on the Big Island of Hawaii and I spoke to other people on the tour and they agreed with me.

Many thanks
