Grand Canadian Winter Rail
12 DAYS FROM £1399
Through all the trips and experiences, the real jewel in your crown was our tour director, the self named "Downtown" Lynda Brown. Her attention to all the minute arrangements left nothing to chance, from our first excursion to a frozen Niagara to our departure via stretch limo to Vancouver Airport.
Nothing was too much trouble for her, but it was her unobtrusive manner which really stood out. She was a million miles away from the sterotypical tour rep, but always available when needed with good, sound advice, and problem solving ability, as well as being full of knowledge of all the areas we travelled through.
As for the holiday itself it was our first experience of winter travel in a winter state, as we usually head for the (hot) sun! The sights we saw were too numerous and breathtaking to fully describe, and even the photo's we took did not do them full justice. All the drivers were very helpful, and travelling in a relatively small group ony added to the holiday experience.
For value for money i don't think this trip could have been beaten, and that goes for the extra trips, one of which, the dog sledding, will never be forgotten.
Thank you Archers for making our Silver Wedding trip so memorable.
Canada is even more breathtaking in winter. The Canadian Train takes you through magnificent snow covered scenery from Toronto to Jasper and then on to Vancouver.
