Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: UK - Vienna.
Fly to Vienna and make your own way to your hotel for a three-night stay. Alternatively, a transfer is available at a supplement and should be pre-booked prior to departure.
DAY 2: Vienna. At leisure or optional city sightseeing tour.
The musical capital of Europe is also one of the continent's most sophisticated and vibrant cities, famous for its fine architecture and elegant coffee houses. Enjoy a day at leisure - perhaps you'd like to follow the music trail, visit the haunts of famous composers like Strauss, Mozart and Beethoven, or ride the classic Ferris wheel at Prater Park, location of the famous movie, The Third Man? Or, why not join our optional half day city sightseeing tour (this is available at a supplement and should be pre-booked prior to departure) which starts with a visit to the State Opera, Parliament and the Town Hall? You'll then stroll through Heroes' Square to view the splendid Hofburg Palace and finally pay a visit to the spectacular St Stephen's Cathedral. This introduction will surely whet your appetite to see more of Vienna on your own. (B)
DAY 3: Vienna. At leisure.
You have a full day to see more of Vienna and the surrounding area. Why not while away some time with the locals in a Viennese Café, where you will be offered mouth-watering Sachertorte and a traditional cup of coffee? Maybe take a trip to the Vienna Woods, or spend an evening in one of Grinzing's 'Heurigen', sampling their famous wines. And of course, no visit to Vienna would be complete without a short cruise on the 'beautiful, blue' Danube. (B)
DAY 4: Vienna - UK.
Make your own way back to Vienna airport for your flight to the UK. Alternatively, a transfer is available at a supplement and should be pre-booked prior to departure. (B)
