 The Costa del Sol: Sunshine All The Time
With 325 days of sunshine a year the Costa del Sol is indeed aptly named. Here in ‘the California of Europe' you'll find some of Spain's most glamorous and most popular resorts, as well as being within easy reach of unspoilt and out-of-the-way little mountain villages. By the coast the resorts hold sway with places like Puerto Banus providing and enticing playground for the wealthy who like to park their yachts here! More ordinary folk are free to enjoy the spectacle too and there are great bars, restaurants, shops to keep everyone occupied.
If you tire of resort-life, head for the mountains and you'll be rewarded with spectacular views as well a glimpse of a Spain that time has more or less passed by.
Nerja's town centre is made up of attractive, narrow, whitewashed streets, which have a traditional Andalucian feel to them and plenty of restaurants and bars. If you prefer a quieter resort with a real Spanish atmosphere you will enjoy Nerja.
