What a place what a holiday! We've all seen the big five on wildlife programmes or in zoos but to see them close up in the wild is simply breathtaking.
How Can David Be So Confident?
This is a holiday where you are guaranteed to see the big 5 - how can I be so confident? The answer is easy - the Ngorongoro crater, the steep sides of the 8,300 square kms of the crater act as a natural cage and home for elephant, rhino, hippo, lion and buffalo.
David Gets Startled By A Leopard
But it is not just in the crater that you are likely to see them, the safari also includes Amboseli with its stunning early morning views of Kilimanjaro, the vast expanses of the Serengeti. My personal highlight was tracking a leopard at dusk for over an hour.
David Gets Startled By The Driver
The knowledge and skill of your guides will astound you. You will be scanning the scenery spotting nothing when the driver will suddenly say "lion - 200 yards on the right" and a moment later you will find a pride of lions hidden in the grasses or resting under a tree. I can't wait to return to Africa.
