What's more, Viking River Cruises are run by, in most cases a western European hotel manager, restaurant manager, chef and sous chef heading up the staff.
Modern and Comfortable Ships
Viking makes your comfort and enjoyment paramount at all times. That's why all Viking ships are extremely modern and specially built for river cruising. Your ship will either have been recently built in Europe or superbly renovated and will feature the highest safety standards and advanced navigational systems as well as all the mod cons.
You'll also find comfortable public rooms with large, panoramic windows and generous sun decks for stretching out and enjoying the scenery. Cabin accommodation is equally appealing, with outside standard and deluxe cabins equipped with en-suite wc and shower, and all cabins offer river views, air-conditioning and a hairdryer, TV and telephone. Safety deposit boxes are also provided on some vessels.
Entertainment & Excursions
Like Archers Direct, Viking River Cruises recognise that enjoying your cruise isn't just about your excursions - it's about making the most of your time onboard, too. Every cruise features an exciting programme of entertainment that may include music, dancing, folklore and crew show and even lectures about the country being visited.
There are also optional excursions available on top of the programmed entertainment if you're keen to get in more sightseeing. Pre-booking these excursions will save you valuable money, since booking them once on board can be more expensive. Plan ahead and speak to your reservations advisor when you book to see what's on offer. There are also experienced Viking tour guides on all excursions so you can get the most from each trip.
