Mrs Isabel Warren

Never done an escorted tour before, but would do it again. Me and my husband saw some wonderful sights that otherwise we would never have found, and everything was organised for us. If you've never done one before, here's the answers to a few questions you might have! ( we did the Heart of the Rockies by the way) 1. What's it like being on the bus all day, and who's on it? On the coach there were all different nationalities (all English speaking) with an age range of about 16 to 80. If you want to make friends you can, and there were some single people on the trip, but if you're miserable beggars like us you can easily keep yourself to yourself. It can be hard going, but our guide Bev was lovely, and we learned a lot. 2. What clothes shall I take? A bit of everything! We went in summer, and in the day it was shorts and t shirts, but you do need a couple of jumpers and a jacket for different excursions. And remember, you won't have time to wash anything.... 3. How much money will I need? Only 1 breakfast was included, so you do need quite a bit. It wasn't cheap to eat out....a bar meal with a couple of alchoholic drinks was about £50-£60. But there are always shops around for snacks. Hope that helps! Most people on our trip had done tours before, and would never travel with anyone but Archers/Cosmos, and we recommend them too.

Mr David Shaw

This is a perfect tour if you want to see the magnificent Rockies and epic lakes and awesome scenery. We would have awarded 5 stars and excellent but a couple of hotels were well below standard and not at all acceptable on such a fantastic tour and such a reputable company as Archers. But, we still had a fantastic time and experience on a truly great adventure.
