I think if travellers had been told a week before travelling that there were no tickets to visit the Alhambra as a group, there would have been time for people to obtain their own entry tickets on line and therefore visit what should have been one of the highlights instead of visiting at night which was useless.
Thoroughly enjoyed all the venues we visited. Everything was well organised and ran like clockwise. The tour manager was extremely friendly, informative and helpful. Pity we didn't have just one more day in Seville as there is a lot to see and obviously very disappointed that we did get to the Alhambra Palace.
Visiting the Alhambra palace was down as a highlight but head office did not get daytime tickets and we only got a late night visit to the summer palace starting at 9.30pm. Reason for going on tour was the attraction adaytime visiti to the Alhambra. Several senior citizens on the tour found the terrain difficult lucky that there was not an accident. Due to the bad lighting my husband lost the main party briefly. The free trip the next day was not my idea of compensation. The Alhambra is sucH a major feature of the area booking of tickets should be a priority for this tour. Unfortunately due to this major disappointment I have given some very low scores on the surveys I have completed something I have never done for all the trips I have taken with the company. Everything else about the tour was fine but not being able to visit the Alhambra ruined the holiday. Perhaps archers ought to send disappointed customers a DVD of the building to they can see for themselves what they missed due to the lack of organisation to booked day time tickets well in advance, We noticed that other touring companies on a similar route had full day time tickets booked not just an hour in the dark. If they could do it why could not archers Someone in the archers back office needs to get their act together. Everyone on the trip was really disappointed.
I enjoyed the holiday and was only marred by the Alhambra tour which did not come up to expectations.
The intention of the holiday was to see the Alhambra complex in Granada. The visit was for 60 minutes at night under floodlight. The visit only concentrated on the gardens and was hazardous to people with walking difficulties due to the dark. The whole holiday was peppered with quite long spells of walking which some of the party found difficult.
Highlight of tour was Alhambra - very disappointing as taken there at 10pm when tired, footsore and ready for bed. Itinerary had this as the next day, not an evening tour. Had to walk a long way over rough paths, it was dark, then herded through too quickly. Really felt this was a big fail on the part of tour operator. Otherwise a good tour.
The optional excursion in Granada was very poor value for money. It is the worst value for money excursion I have ever done
Bowled over by the beauty and wealth of history in this area. Our tour guide Boris was excellent and very helpful.
Fantastic tour director, great itinerary, saw everything I'd wanted to, exceeded expectations
A holiday completely ruined through incompetence.
