Bangkok - Bang Pa In - Ayutthaya - Uthai Thani

This morning, drive north out of Bangkok to visit the Bang Pa-In, one of King Rama IV lavish Summer Palace's. Admire the beautiful Thai pavilion set in the middle of the lake and some immaculate Thai topiary-bushes cut into shapes of elephants. Continue by road to the Ancient Capital City of Ayutthaya, the idyllic ruins of the once glorious capital destroyed by the Burmese. Explore ruined temples and palaces, and admire the extensive canal and river network which helped Ayutthaya to flourish. Continue to Uthai Thani for the night.

Uthai Thani - Kanchanaburi - River Kwai

This morning, visit a local market to experience the atmosphere of a typical market and where all kinds of food and fruits range from fresh and dry vegetables and fish are available. Afterwards cruise along the Sakaekrang River. Cruise past local life and the raft residents. Continue to Wat Tha Sung to see the temple built in the Ayutthaya period, an impressive temple with a Crystal Hall and a Golden Grand shrine. Afterwards, proceed to Kanchanaburi. Arrive in Kanchanaburi for lunch at a local restaurant. Later, visit the Allied Forces War Cemetery and the fascinating Thai-Burma Railway Centre Museum to learn about the building of the famous bridge over the River Kwai.

A sombre morning visiting the town's famous JEATH War Musuem. JEATH stands for Japan, England, American, Australia, Thailand and Holland - the nationalities of the Prisoner's of War involved with the building of the railway in WW2. This fascinating musuem details POW's experiences during the building of the world famous "Bridge over the River Kwai". Built during World War II by the Allied prisoners of war. Included is a thrilling ride on the notorious "Death Railway" along the infamous railway. En route to Nakorn Pathom visit Phra Pathom Chedi, which is one of the tallest pagoda in Southeast Asia.

This morning, depart Sampran to visit the Floating Market at Damnoen Saduak in the Ratchaburi province. The market is still unspoilt by the influences of the modern city and there are numerous vendors selling fruit, local foods and produce from rowing boats. Afterwards continue to Cha Am.

Enjoy time at leisure exploring Cha Am. This popular beach area of Thailand offers many opportunities for water based sports, outlet shopping, golf and much more.
