This morning, journey into Latvia for a visit to the Baroque Palace of Rundale, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Later, travel amidst picturesque countryside to Riga, the Latvian capital, where you will spend two nights.
Formerly owned by Poland, Sweden, Russia and Germany, Riga is a diverse and beautiful city, strategically located at the head of the Gulf of Riga, an arm of the Baltic Sea. Today, we journey along the Baltic coastline and cross the border into Estonia for a stop in the beautiful sea-side city of Parnu. Take a stroll down to the sandy beach, before continuing your journey to Tallinn.
